A Northern Virginia native, Aurena fell in love with yoga in 2010. She was quickly drawn to the sense of calm and connectedness that the practice provided her with. She received her RYT 200 certification from Yoga District in D.C. in 2017. Aurena is a firm believer in the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga. She takes a trauma-informed and holistic approach in her teaching style, integrating elements of mind, body, and spirit. Aurena is also a mental health counselor and Reiki Master. She loves to infuse psychoeducation and energy work into her yoga practice, and believes that yoga is a way in which we can support healing and embodiment. In her free time, Aurena enjoys writing, singing, biking, hiking, and playing with her dog, Rogue.

Megan found yoga in her own search for peace, meaning and movement. A great friend recommended WheelHouse and she now cannot imagine life without yoga or the Wheelhouse community. Megan seeks wonder and joy in the everyday through her yoga practice, long walks outside, shared laughter, exploration, curiosity, and constant learning. In her vinyasa styles classes, she invites you to rediscover your wonder and deep knowing through the joy of mindful movement and in letting go of what life should look like. She is a catalyst to fostering connection—both on and off the mat—between body, mind, spirit and in her community and hopes to help her students reignite the flame, flow, love and limitlessness within.
