Yassi Karimi
As a dedicated yoga teacher, certified sound healing therapist, and transformational coach, Yassi believes in empowering our lives through the acceptance of our authentic self.
She infuses her classes with creativity and sincerity that gracefully synchronize breath, posture, fluid movement, strength-building, and alignment. Her personal practice has evolved over the last 20 years with influences from Rocket, Ashtanga, Power, Baptiste, Hatha, Bikram, and Iyengar.
She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training (RYT-200) through CorePower Yoga and is currently on the path to expand her teaching knowledge with a RYT-500 certification. In addition, she is currently training under the esteemed ShellyFlex, focusing on skills such as contortion, flexibility, strength, and handstands. Yassi has also completed 100-hour Rocket Training with the Progressive Ashtanga Vinyasa School under Kevin Castillo and David Kyle.
With a background in Neuroscience and Peace Operations, Yassi dives into the science behind mindfulness, exploring how meditation reshapes the brain for greater resilience and clarity. She guides her students on an inclusive journey that nurtures both mental and physical well-being, grounded in a lifelong commitment towards cultivating peace, both within oneself and in the world.
Yassi teaches weekly at various DMV studios, as well as private group and corporate sessions.
